Adult and community education (ACE) refers to the many and varied
non-formal learning activities that adults engage in.
Familiar examples of ACE programs and activities include the popular
Adult Education program, and the resources and support provided by the
state’s libraries and online access centres.
ACE also includes the learning opportunities offered by community
houses, third age learning providers, museums and art galleries, religious
groups, cultural organisations, special interest groups and local
community organisations.
