Notes: This qualification will no longer be available as from 12 Novemer 2009 GENERAL CONDITIONS The following conditions apply as determined and approved by the relevant industrial parties: All training under the provisions of a training agreement shall be undertaken in paid work time; except in relation to new part time trainees under the express provisions of the National Training Wage Award of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, or the National Training Wage (Tasmanian Private Sector) Award of the Tasmanian Industrial Commission. Trainees are to be employed for sufficient hours to complete all requirements of the traineeship, including the on the job work experience and demonstration of competencies. The traineeship period shall be counted as service for the purposes of any relevant Award or any other legislative entitlements. In respect of existing employees who enter into a training agreement, the following shall also apply for the traineeship period: There shall be no reduction of entitlements under an Award, registered agreement or relevant legislation. The period of the traineeship shall be counted as service for the purposes of any relevant Award or any other legislative entitlements. Structured training and assessment means any training and assessment activity (on the job, off the job or a combination of both) required, essential and obligatory for the development, attainment and recognition of competencies: * as packaged as a qualification outcome recognised within the Australian Recognition Framework, whether linked to an accredited course or endorsed Training Package; and, * as detailed in a training agreement as the training program outline; and, * as defined as part of the course documentation or Training Package.

All apprenticeships/traineeships must comply with TTAC Policies.

Workplace arrangements:

The employer is responsible for ensuring compliance with the appropriate industrial award/agreement especially as it relates to payment of National Training Wage Award rates and for specifying this on the training agreement
